mobile bluetooth...please help?
just to let you know ....I have motorola moto q (OS > windows mobile 6)....
now ...the problem is that yesterday I have turned on the bluetooth of my mobile in the university (I'm supposed to know all the persons in the field) and suddenly I have received a request from a phone ...when I accepted that request I received certain msg....now I am in an urgent need to know who is that person or what was his (or her) mobile model....now to let you know, WM6 operating system, keep remembering mobiles connected to it in the previous bluetooth sessions ....and when you highlight one of those mobiles it gives you a series - look like an IP address-...and I feel that I can take the advantage of this series!! so can somebody please help in that.........
I am 100% sure I even understand what you are asking. Are you saying that you turned on your bluetooth headset and got paired with a device, or your windows mobile device and paired with another device? In either case it does not make much of a difference unless the other person kept your device information on their device. The request has to be accepted both ways, not just by you but by them. The numbers you see are the bluetooth ID for that device. Every network device has some sort of hardware ID that identifies them, that is what you are seeing that looks like an IP address.
The only way this information can be of use to you is if the other person still has you paired (connected) to their device. If they do when you get close enough to the, your device will auto connect and you will be able to send them messages also. The only way you will know who they are is if you see the answering your message, or they named their device with their name. Some people do this, some do not. If you are connected to them they are pretty close usually within 30ft of you. That is in the same room or the one next to it. So when you see it connect look and listen for the other device. Those are about all the suggestions that I have that will help you find them. Again it will only work if they accepted the connection also and did not erase it later on.
