Is it possible to buy a new Verizon cell phone even if your 2 year activation?
I am signed up with Verizon for my cell phone service. When I bought my phone, I signed the necessary 2 year activation contract and so it doesn't expire until December 2010. Under the contract, am I allowed to buy a newer Verizon phone before December?
You can either buy the phone at full price which normally is $200-$700 depending on which phone you get (you can look online and you'll see the price of the phone then a 2 year contract price then the discount price.... you'll be getting the phone at the most expensive price)
or...
You can cancel your current contract which will cost you quite a bit also. And get a new contract and you'll get the phone at the price you would for a 2 year contract price.
normally you can upgrade your phone/contract a couple months before your 2 year contract ends. (I got my phone in October 2008, but I get to upgrade at the end of April this year)
personally.... i'd just wait until you can upgrade. i don't think it's worth all that much money just to get a new phone a few months earlier. i think it's a waste of money that could be spent on something else worth needing. but it's your phone and your money
